In the past the search gaint Google fooled million of internet users with their April Fool's Day hoaxes. The following the five Google hoaxes

Google MentalPlex( 2000 )
Announced a new technology that supposedly read mind of the users and searches for required information on the net. This has promised to elimate typing of search queries using keyboard.

Pigeon Rank(2002)
Google published an article which describes how google search engine ranks pages. There is so much humor in the article which made fun of computer terminology

Google Lunar/Copernicus Center(2004)
Fictitious job opportunities for a research center on the moon. Luna/X is the name of a new operating system they claimed to have created for working there.

Google Gulp(2005)
A fictitious beverage that would optimize users Google search engine usage by increasing the drinker's intelligence. It was claimed this boost is achieved through a real-time DNA analysis and carefully tailored adjustments to neurotransmitters in the brain.

Google Romance(2006)
Google Romance was announced on the main Google search page with the introduction, "Dating is a search problem. Solve it with Google Romance.". Google claimed to help internet users who are searching for date partners.
